Have you ever thought of having a

go at fly fishing, but don't know where to start? Well Mitchell can show you how to set up your tackle, help you to recognise what type of fly to use to suit the conditions and where to fish it.  He will teach you how to cast the fly onto the water using different methods, like the overhead, roll and spey casts.

He will show you how to read the water and what to look out for when trying to spot fish, whether it be salmon, sea trout or the very wily wild brown trout. You don't even have to bring your own tackle as Mitchell has everything you need for hire.

Mitchell also understands that not everyone wants to go fishing, which can cause problems if your traveling with others and only have one vehicle, so he will pick you up and drop you off wherever you want, leaving your car free for the rest of your party to use.

Families with children and total beginners are more than welcome, after all children are the future of the sport who need to be encouraged and taught, not just about fishing, but nature and why we have to respect the natural balance of our surroundings. Children under 10 years old tend to be a bit young for fly fishing, though they can use a spinning rod if the water allows. Get in touch with Mitchell for advise concerning children and fishing. If your child would like to fish and is under 16 years of age, they must be accompanied by an adult who is over 18 years old.

If there is anything at all that you may be unsure of with regards to fly fishing and the tuition Skye Ghillie Fly Fishing offers, please feel free to contact Mitchell with your questions. He will  happy to help in any way he can. After all,it's his job!
